Since before the New Year, we have been hospitable to a certain sick virus and have been very generous in sharing it with each other. Some of us are going on our second and third rounds of the flu-type virus consisting of fever, coughing, runny noses, and headaches.
God has been very merciful and gracious to us during this season of sickness, and has allowed us to keep from getting discouraged. He has allowed us to see that there will be an end to this "plague." In the meantime, He has allowed brothers and sisters in Christ to help encourage us.
Today, we were blessed with a "goody-basket" intended to help us have a fun family night tonight.
Another friend gave us a card of encouragement.
These "little deeds of kindness" have done wonders in brightening our day. God definitely has many ways to encourage us through our journey of sickness!

Amanda, I am sorry to hear that sickness is still going through your family! I will be praying that it runs it's course very quickly!
