OPBC Tent Meeting 2011

The tent meeting starting on Thursday evening, October 13, 2011. The tent that stood empty for days was now filled with people.

Every evening, the men gathered to pray before the service.

Each service started with Bible reading and hymn-singing, after which our family shared several songs.

Bro. David Nelson, an evangelist from Mississippi, brought the message from God's Word.

On Sunday morning, we were joined by the Wilson family from Mississippi.

Immediately following the service, a friend served the jambalaya dinner for everyone to enjoy, and we had a sweet time of fellowship.

God blessed us with beautiful weather during the days of the tent meeting. We were excited to see an average of 58 people each service and pray that God will use the truths preached to minister to the hearts of those who came.

Sunday night, we headed over to Mount Nebo Baptist Church with the Nelson family and were again blessed with another wonderful service where we sang and Bro. Nelson preached.

The time for taking the tent down came.

It was sad to see the tent disassembled, but we look forward to another tent meeting on the church property if the Lord allows.

He hath made every thing beautiful in His time: also He hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
Ecclesiastes 3:11

How neat! It looks just like the Tent Meetings that we used to have at our old church!
Wish I could have been there...maybe next year! ;)
